BE A VOLUNTEER
We are a community service organization and more than 90% of our work is driven by our volunteers. in 2019, our average individual volunteer hours was over 90 hours annually. Considering, we have had more than 70 volunteers consistently served our community, equaling an estimated value of nearly $154,102. Committed volunteers make it possible to deliver our many high-quality services and yet keep our costs low.

We believe volunteers play a critical role in supporting our mission to provide better service for a world-class community.
Thank you for your interest in the Sema Foundation’s Volunteer Program. There are a variety of opportunities available for high school students to volunteer.
In light of all that is happening right now with COVID-19 there have been some difficult decisions to make regarding regularly scheduled programs, but you are more than welcome to submit applications for future programs.
INTERNSHIP
We offer a competitive internship program that gives students and graduates the opportunity to make important professional contributions to society. Interns are assigned a long-term project that they work on during their 10-week internship, in addition to daily responsibilities. Sema Interns will not receive monetary compensation.
- Time commitment
- Minimum 10 hours in a week. Mon – Fri (flexible)
- Qualifications
- Undergraduate / graduate students and recent graduates.
- Familiarity with social media (twitter, Facebook) and basic MS Office tools (Word,Excel)
- Responsible and reliable
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-oriented environment
- Desired Skills/Preferences
- Degree in Journalism, Communications, International Studies, Political Science, Social Studies or other related fields
